Hello ScrewThisNoise and fellow koikatu players. I have been playing KK since it came out pretty much and I've been downloading your repacks since the first few ones here on nyaa. I still very much like the game but I'm really starting to get tired of the same selection of H positions in both story and free H modes (I'm not really into studio much). So my question is, are there mods that add more H positions to the game or any way at all to import positions from other illusion games like Emotion Creators for example?
PS: As soon as I am able I'll be sure to support you on patreon or in any other way as a thanks for your work.
Not currently.... recently modders have started experimenting with studio animations and free H maps, so hoping they start looking into main game positions as well eventually :-)
@CookieSenpai kPlug adds a whole bunch of animations to the game. It's a complete overhaul mod and it causes some conflicts with this repack but I've made it work successfully with previous versions.

@eph604 I almost tried it once but tbh it seemed a bit more trouble than it was worth :D Might give it another shot though maybe try to vanilify a previous BetterRepack, assuming it's not dependant on any other mods. Thanks.
@CookieSenpai I have no idea if it works with RX5.1, but there's decent chance it will.
Cetain mods interfere with certain kPlug function. You need to delete your uncensorselector to use the kPlug one, and you need to delete unlockHposition to use other kPlug functions. Just read the compatibility notes.
Well... it does work with a whole lot of messing about...
The problem is though, it has massive incompatibilities all over the place, and often break the simplest of things, and the creator is unwilling to work with the rest of the community, insisting that he's the only modder doing it "right", so I removed it from the optional mods in this pack due to both the attitude and due to the amount of kPlug related problems coming at me.
The main problems are as follows:
1. It uses a outdated framework.
2. It's too big, too much stuff in one plugin.
3. Creator is out of touch with the rest of the modding community.
He made some statements about this in his newest kplug post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/kplug-2-3-public-38720263
His argument as to why it's not his fault is... well... less than sound... "kplug is not a BepInEx mod"... I don't know if he expects people to patch up their game with the ancient IPA framework that permanently modifies their installation and thus throw away all mods but his (and the maybe 3 other kinda maybe relevant smaller mods I know of that has long since been superceeded by way better mods)...
This all being said though, do give it a go, I don't begrudge anyone wanting to test out something new, that's really fun, but do be aware that there's a ton of problems with that plugin, especially when it meets other plugins, and there's really no help to be had, with exception of katarsys' patreon page (which you can find here: https://www.patreon.com/Katarsys), as both I and the fandiscord render no support whatsoever for kPlug installations.

@Balivern STN started uploading 244GB of new torrents 25 hours ago, that takes some time to initially seed. Plus he's not using super seeding (I can see the same lone peer with 100% in most torrents) which means there's some waste as multiple peers may request the same pieces.
yes, my seedbox is seeding them all, but it takes some time when it's this much... all of them have well over a 1x seedrate, so probably a lot of distributing the same chunk, once 1 or 2 other users have the full thing, I imagine it'll flow over all users quite quick tho
@STN I advise you to turn on super seeding when initial seeding a torrent. Basically you will lie to each peer saying you only have a different subset of the pieces, which will make distributing 100% much faster.
Deluge seems to have it starting with version 2.0, but I guess you're using an older version in the repositories of some Linux distro remotely. Maybe change to another client, like qBitorrent? (it has a web interface) :P
Just using the one that came bundled with the seedbox... recently started renting it from this provider so not looked into changing clients yet =P
I'll look into it prior to the next release so that I can do a initial seed properly :-)

I'm new to all this stuff, so sorry if this is something super simple, but what am I supposed to do with the [OPTIONAL][KK][20200711] Sideloader Modpack Studio folder? Ive extracted it along with the game folder, but i dont know how to put the optional folder in or if im even supposed to, if someone could help id really appreciate it >_<

There's only speculations as of now with regards to a koikatsu 2. I am hopeful, but you never know till they say something. I do want to mess around a bit with older illusion games, but time is a massive constraint, so no promises.

inside the optional archive, there should be a mods folder, just extract that to the game folder so that it merges with the existing mods folder and you should be good to go, the game reads the contents of the mods folder when you start it :)
Man, reading back on the Kplug stuff, he can't even be bothered to put the new locations in. "Just use the tab menu to switch maps" like that's a worthwhile solution. In all honesty, I really liked it for giving more positions, but everything else around it was clunky as fuck. Lets hope someone just cracks open the code for it and makes their own Kplug version that's worth while.

I found an issue here while reinstalling using this repack. learning from my mistake I noticed that ''KK_GameDialogHelper.v0.9.1.zip'' located in ''[OPTIONAL] Mods''
contains older version of ''KK_GeBoCommon.dll''
and it will causes errors to other Gebo's plugins if not carefully installed (copy>paste>replace all)
It took me a while to trace the culprit for some error on loading screen
and solve by downloading latest version of GeboCommon from Gebo's github
I suggest you should give a note not to overwrite the ''KK_GeBoCommon.dll'' in plugins folder
or just remove the older dll from the zip itself if possible
to avoid same mistake by other

I did a little bit of testing and I cannot get kPlug to work properly with RX5.0 or RX5.1. I can make it work properly with RX4.1
kPlug has three features which, IMO, make it leagues better than any other mod but everything else about it is an overly-complicated mess. The insertion animations, the additional positions and the ability to invite other character to join the scene are fantastic features, it's too bad you have to download all of the other stuff to make those things work.
I wish there were other modders who were making animations that worked in free H mode.

oh, that's quite the oversight, noted it for the next release. I'm focusing squarely on the KK pack now and am pumping a bit of money into it, so will probably see another release before long ;-)
That moment when I made an account just to comment here. That moment when I see a modern which has about 1500 patrons and doesn't do a decent job or communicate with other modders, I mean katarsys. not that I don't like his work, but still. As for you, you're a good modder, I like your mods, packs and etc. Respect your work.
But here is again the same question. Yes I can see you're working on a lot of mods, many games to mod, you have to Digg in a lot of mods and etc to make the best possible repack possible, but what I don't get is, you earn 10k / month, why you don't start on your own game similar to koikatsu or ai-shoujo? I'm working on my project and I need like 2k / month to start working on a game similar to them. probably with not best graphics but if I had 10k / month I would make game even a ilussion does. So I don't understand you modders.

I'd love to make my own game, but at THIS point it's not something I can realistically do.
The reality of game design is quite the harsh one. To do that I'd need to either start on a design document/bible, setting out the scope and base ideas, and this is not something that's done overnight by itself, then take on people to fill in the skills where I'm lacking, and even support me where I'm intermediate or higher. Then comes asset creation (3D modelling, texturing, sound creation etc).
Being more of a generalist, and less of a specialist, makes the need for at least a second set of hands with the same skillset as me on the technical side a necessity possibly.
So far so good, this part of it should take... a few months maybe... if I'm rushing it?
Next is the worst part, the part where almost every patreon funded game stumble... Feature creep, and "low hanging fruit". A patreon supported game doesn't have the luxury of stopping and polishing a single feature for too long, they have to show visible progress, quickly and repeatedly. The end result is usually good ideas, poorly executed. Not due to a lack of skill, but time.
So if I were to create my own game, I'd stick some money into it here and there, maybe even releasing assets in the form of mods for other games while they're being made, and not announce anything till I got the core features release ready.
Can I do it? maybe... not a sure thing, but far from a impossibility... so currently I'm focusing on doing right by the reasons I created my patreon, using my monetary power to get things to happen. Like the last month I've put several thousand dollars into game translation for Koikatsu, a often requested improvement that's finally taking place actively thanks to everyone helping out. I've also requested mods for other games, like MoreAccessories for PlayHome and Emotion Creators, ABMX and PHAPI for PlayHome etc. For now, that route is probably one I'll take with the money granted to me.
What are the differences between this and steam version? except for the patches and all of the stuff.
I downloaded different version like half year ago and was wondering if the translations on steam version work the same way.

But it's possible. when you're making something good. people will support you more. Problem with most developers are the same - Lack of skill, or just poorly divided time. Even though I have my personal life, I would dedicate my life to Game dev if I just had at least 1000$ income. Because some people are from poor countries, so even small means a lot to them. I personally work at 3 companies and my salary is 300$ / month. (it's not that I don't have skills, I actually work at high positions, but no one of the companies pay in my country).
Anyway - could you please specify known bugs in txt files when somebody reports it? so we can know if that specific mod is worth it for us or not. for example, in RX5 koikatsu I didn't have any noticeable bugs related to kplug. Only bug I found was with 2-3 animations. Example one of the foot lick / job scene tongue isn't displayed properly. everything else works as it should.
Hey man, thanks for the great work! Quick question though, whenever I start koikatsu, there's a message displayed on the top of the screen saying that Translation Cache Cleaner and Translation Helper couldn't be loaded because of a missing dependency. Any help would be much appreciated, and thanks again for the great work!

That shouldn't happen if you haven't added new mods on your own... weird... I'm planning on releasing a hotfix or a new pack version tho to update some base plugins tho, so hold out for that for a bit :-)
When I start chara studio with sideloader mods from the repack, I get an error at the beginning:
"Could not load [Camera Target Fix 13.2] because it is incompatible with: keehauled.cameratargetfix"
But I can still continue on chara studio and do stuff.
thanks for the repack, but I have an issue, I copied my cards to the female folder but nothing appears in the character creation, the default girl also isn't there, what could be the problem? the mod/plugin list black menu also is empty
It's been a while since I tried Koikatsu, how's the English translation these days? The last time I played it was almost entirely (bad) machine translation. Has the quality improved?
